Geoff Anderson - Senior Product Manager and Marketing War Vet
Geoffrey Anderson has over 12 years of in-the-trenches product management and product marketing experience in a wide variety of industries and companies. Experience in networking and communications, data storage, semiconductor lithography and optical instrumentation has given Geoff a vast pool of experiences and insight into the marketing of technology. Geoff has spent time at Technical Instruments, Zygo Corporation, KLA-Tencor, Read-Rite, Veeco Instruments and is now a product manager at Open Text Corporation in their Fax and Document Delivery group. During his time at KLA-Tencor, and at Veeco, Geoff spent time in the field working with end customers who were at the leading edge of their industries, including companies like Toshiba, Fujitsu, AMD, Intel, Seimens(Infineon), Du Pont, and Photronics and others in the semiconductor field. Additionally, his work at Veeco brought him in close contact with several of the Fortune 500, including General Motors, Ford, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Northrup Grumman. In all these interactions Geoff has been focused on providing timely, effective, and innovative solutions to business needs.
In his business roles, Geoff has played a significant part in strategic planning, marketing program development and execution, market analysis, including segmentation, Voice of the Customer surveys, roadmap and product platform definition and deployment, as well as being the one man stop for all knowledge and content for his products. Geoff has written or co-written several magazine articles for publications as diverse as Microlithography World, Semiconductor International, Solid State Technology, and Tribology and Lubrication Technology as well as co-authored many peer reviewed articles for the SPIE, BACUS, and ASPE. Geoff brings a strong technical background to a marketing perspective and can move between the groups with ease and comfort.
Geoff graduated from SJSU with a B.Sc. Physics, minor in mathematics, and has worked towards his M.Sc. in Physics (ABD). He is a member of the Physics Honor Society, Sigma Pi Sigma, and provides services as a mentor in their outreach program for young physics/science inclined high school students.
